Conventional plaster, you might have seen it, old wood strips or diamond mesh wire. Conventional plaster uses a plaster base, called a brown coat, which is spread on evenly usually ½ inch to 5/8 thickness and is left to cure. A finish coat is then applied to achieve several types of finishes, smooth, textured, sand, ripple, or undulating, but this method is very labor intensive. Only an experienced skilled tradesman can create these finishes in order to save time and materials. A lot of experience is involved. We can do this!

Veneer plaster can achieve the same finished look, but in half the time, because the wood strips are replaced by blue board which is the same as dry wall. Type X special is fire-resistant, and a finish plaster coat can be applied. This is done in one or two coats. We can do this.

What ever procedure you take for interior finish, it is like the plaster of old. Gypsum powder is used which remains hard after drying it is apart from concrete and allows it to be shaped, it is not intended for any load bearing activities.
A plasterer is an artist and a trades person. With an experienced eye a plaster has to put a coat of the mixture that is absolutely perfect. This is where the fun begins, with interior plastering cove ceilings, arched doorways, half moon round niches, dome niches, dome ceilings, inside round corners, groin ceilings and splay ceilings can all be accomplished and corners can be square or bull nose to match any old or new texture. This bodes well for new construction, custom homes and remodel/additions depending on the specifications of the architect or plans. We can do this!
